Developing the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurship should not begin only after college, or after someone has spent years working inside another organization. Young people should have opportunities to build.
Fortis Next introduces young entrepreneurs to the real world of business through practical learning, mentorship, experimentation, and access to an active entrepreneurial community.
Participants can learn about:
Eleven areas, taught by people who use them every day.
Entrepreneurship
Leadership
Artificial Intelligence
Technology
Marketing
Ecommerce
Finance
Product Development
Global Business
Communication
Problem Solving
But Fortis Next is not designed around education alone.
We believe entrepreneurship is learned by building.
Young people should have opportunities to develop ideas, create products, work with teams, solve real problems, and learn directly from entrepreneurs.
Today’s students can become tomorrow’s founders.
Practical learning
Short, applied sessions taught by founders and specialists from the center — not lectures about business, but the work itself.
Mentorship
Every participant works with an experienced founder or operator from the community who has built what they are trying to build.
Experimentation
Real problems from member companies, real products, real customers. Ideas are tested, not graded.
An active community
Participants sit inside a working business center, alongside the companies they are learning from — and are often hired by them.
Fortis Next questions
Students, recent graduates, and young people who want to build — before college, during it, or instead of spending years inside another organisation first. There is no business-degree requirement.
Programme terms vary by center and are often supported by university and partner institutions. Details for each cohort are published locally; figures are placeholders in this build.
Every Fortis Center runs a Fortis Next studio or cohort, several in partnership with a local university. New York, Bogotá, Kampala, Nairobi, and London run the largest programmes.
Participants stay in the community. Many join member companies, some start their own inside the center, and the best return as mentors. Today’s students become tomorrow’s founders — and then tomorrow’s mentors.
